About
My approach to gardening is influenced by a passion for greener gardening and a strong belief in working with your soil and climate rather than against them. My own garden has a relaxed and naturalistic feel to it, and I garden in a way that is beneficial to wildlife and is fun and absorbing. I love experimenting with planting combinations and growing my own plants from seeds and cuttings.
My love for teaching stems from my own time studying horticulture. There was so much to learn and many different opinions, which can make gardening feel complicated and inaccessible. I love to break down the information into manageable chunks and make gardening feel more reachable to others.
I have an RHS Diploma with Commendation in the Principles and Practices of Horticulture from Plumpton College and also hold a PGCert in Field Biology from the University of Sussex. I teach small groups at Sussex Garden School and individual tutoring in their home gardens.
